New course in textile arts

This course exposes students to a variety of techniques used to alter and manipulate fabrics. If you want to find out how to push the boundaries with what you can achieve with textiles then this is for you.

If you are a beginner, then this is an exciting place to start. We will be altering the face of fabric through such means as dyeing, painting, printing, foiling, burning, melting, stitching and embellishing.

DAB Gallery End of Year Art Exhibition 14 November - 12 December 2020

It's almost time for our annual End of Year Art Exhibition! 


This event runs from Saturday 14 November until Saturday 12 December, and showcases a wide variety of quality work that has been created by local artists during the year.

Art on display includes a fabulous range of acrylic and watercolour paintings, botanical paintings, urban sketches, pottery, glass work, jewellery and mosaics.

Come in, grab some unique and affordable Christmas gifts, and support your local artists.

DAB Gallery is open Monday to Saturday, 10 am - 2 pm. 

We are located at 11 Mill Street Mossman, just opposite the library.

The new program for Semester 2, 2020 is now available - find the link on this page.  We have lots of exciting classes, courses and workshops on offer. 

You will be pleased to hear that DAB has obtained funding to hold a weekend sculpture workshop on the 15 & 16 August this year, through the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF).

 RADF is a partnership between Queensland Government  and Douglas Shire Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
