For Emerging and New Writers(A Story Competition)
An exciting competition for Emerging and New Writers is now open for entries at DAB
Entries close Sunday 3 June 2018
A new or emerging writer is a non-specific term. For this competition, it is a person who is not a professional writer in any related field, has not been published professionally or paid a substantial fee for writing. If there is doubt regarding eligibility it will be at the judges’ discretion.

Program Guide for 1st semester OUT NOW!

Two new groups will be starting at DAB -
Urban Sketching and Felting, and also several courses will be offered including watercolour with Gail Shaw, a felting class for beginners, and glass slumping workshops. There are also groups continuing with painting, mosaics, children's art, life drawing, printmaking and pottery.

FELTING - Art feature for November

beginners' felt classes, taught by Marg Lynn. Some beautiful work has been created, so come and see what you could do next year. We plan to be running a monthly felting group in 2017, and Marg Lynn will be offering more courses.

DAB Textile Exhibition

The textile art exhibition is now on display in the Douglas Shire Council foyer. The exhibition is a culmination of a ten week experimental textile course run through DAB with a grant from Regional Arts Australia and Artslink Queensland.
